[Review] Marvel Legends X-Men 2017 Warlock Series Colossus

It's been a long time since Hasbro released a modern-update version of Colossus. What surprises collectors is his size compared to other Marvel Legends figures. It's rare for Hasbro to release such a large figure as a regular release and not as a Build-A-Figure. Thanks to that, we now have an affordable and in-scale Colossus figure for our X-Men collection! Without further ado, let's check out this big and awesome metal mutant!

Side of packaging

Colossus sports an entirely new body mold. There isn't much sculpt details but the paints are mostly well done.

Colossus comes with an interchangeable bearded head as depicted in the modern comics. The heads feature a very nice silver metallic paint on his face and glossy black paint with some glittery effect for the hair.

Similar to Cyclops's belt, the plastic used for Colossus's torso is actually made with orange plastic, which is a funny choice because this particular Colossus costume does use a light yellow in the comics and the official product photo actually had the colors done right. It's weird how the colors turned out this way for both Cyclops and Colossus. Oh well.

Articulation

 Ball-jointed head and hinged neck

Shoulder swivel and hinge, bicep swivel, single-jointed elbow and wrist swivel and hinge

Ab crunch

Waist swivel, ball-jointed hips, thigh swivel, double-jointed knees and ankle pivot and rotation

Colossus's widest stance with both feet flat on the ground

Size comparison with Old Man Logan and Cyclops from the same wave. Good scale!

Overall, to be perfectly honest, this figure is amazing and it had took long enough for a perfectly-scaled Colossus figure to be released next to his X-Men buddies. His only downside is the poor color choice for his plastic and the lack of articulation for his elbows. Other than that, he is really great and highly recommended if you can look pass these minor flaws!
